Where is MMS Board Chair Kate Lewis?

Kate Lewis has been the MMS Board Chair for over ten years. She was the board chair during the 2014 DOJ settlement, has presided over numerous family and employee complaints, and is overseeing the board and school during another open DOJ investigation, current litigation, and has not held Monica van Aken accountable for the post "My Retarded Nephew" that appeared on Monica van Aken's personal Facebook page (does she condone this bigotry?). Given the accusations leveled against Monica van Aken, wouldn't the Board Chair make a statement to the school and public and not the person being accused?

The only correspondence provided from Ms. Lewis was an email where she acted surprised that Monica Van Aken wasn't going to let "the family" follow through with their pediatrician, "You decided not [sic] leave door open for them to actually follow thru with the pediatrician's suggestions?". But that's it. No oversight. No accountability.

Demand accountability. Demand an open hearing with the board. Ask Kate Lewis where she stands and why she is complicit in this ongoing pattern and practice of discrimination. Kate Lewis is directly responsible for the oversight of the Head of School, Monica van Aken. Kate.Lewis@lfgmke.com
