My daughter struggled with behavior issues at MMS around the age of 2-3. There was very little feedback from them, despite me requesting meetings numerous times. While the verbal feedback at the end of the day was always very negative, her progress reports did not reflect this. We independently approached our pediatrician in January 2022 with behavior concerns and started the process of psychological evaluation- which as I'm sure you know takes a very long time. In February, they made an urgent virtual appointment with me to more or less kick her out of MMS. We mutually agreed upon us leaving the program ASAP if they would refund any future tuition costs. We have been engaged with psychology since that time. She had a formal, thorough neuropsychology evaluation in October, 2022 where she was diagnosed as having a very high IQ with combined ADHD type. We have done many therapies- PCIT, OT. She follows with a psychologist, psychiatrist, is on medications, etc. Her school is VERY engaged in working with us.

In summary, I believe MMS mishandled the situation as there was very little communication and NO formal communication of behavioral concerns. There was no engagement to develop a behavioral plan. They never once suggested she get evaluated by a physician or psychologist. They did not respond to our requests for meetings to discuss these concerns. They very suddenly then made one meeting to remove her from the program.
